1887 First Night Market is a celebration of Eatonville’s history, culture, and community. It is a tribute to the nation’s oldest incorporated & self-governed African American municipality, a place where the roots of resilience and empowerment run deep. Our event showcases the vibrant arts and humanities of our heritage, while also promoting economic growth and development for our future.
The 1887 First Night Market seeks to create a vibrant and exclusive community space that celebrates black culture, fosters economic growth, and promotes a sense of unity. Eatonville is currently a food desert and lacks economic structure and resources. Local black owned businesses lack exposure and resources. However, the Town is still full of a rich living history.
Put your application in now. We are preparing to open up more spaces in the near future.
